Bamboo is a sustainable resource![]() There are over 1200 species of bamboo on this planet. All our products are manufactured from the bamboo species, moso, which is not eaten by Pandas. While the creation of Bamboo fiber seems to have mystified a few and even spurred some erroneous reports on how bamboo fiber is manufactured, the process is really quite simple. Starch pulp is a refined product of bamboo through a process of hydrolysis-alkalization, then multiphase bleaching. The factories then process it into bamboo fiber. These processes are completely closed looped, which means that the release of byproducts into the environment is negligible. The chemicals involved are "good" chemicals compared to the truly dangerous ones used to produce cotton and polyester. hydrolysis-alkalization is reactive but it is not toxic, i.e. it does not cause DNA damage, does not enter the food chain and is short lived because of its reactivity. It is easily neutralized into salt and water. Furthermore hydrolysis-alkalization is used as a washing agent for almost all organic cotton textiles and is certified by the global organic textile standards. The proof of the ecologically sound methods behind bamboo production is the fact that our Bamboo fabric is certified under Oeko‐Tex Standard 100, which has become the best known and most successful label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It thrives naturally without the use of pesticides or the need for fertilizer. Bamboo can grow as much as 3 feet over night. The bamboo used in the production of textiles is plantation-raised bamboo. The significance of plantation raised bamboo is that the harvesting of the bamboo does not interfere with the habitat of Panda bears. Because of its hollow fiber, bamboo has unusual breathing capabilities. The fiber is filled with micro gaps and micro-holes which allows for better moisture absorption and ventilation than other fibers. Bamboo fiber can absorb and evaporate perspiration quickly. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial because of its bio-agent bamboo “kun” which does not allow the growth of bacteria on the fiber and therefore eliminates the need for anti-microbial chemical treatment (which is known to cause allergic reaction). When you perspire the odor your clothing picks up is reduced due to the anti-bacterial properties. Bamboo fabric is anti-static and does not cling. Among other benefits, bamboo takes in 5 times as much green house gas, and produces 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees. What an amazing natural source to replenish our fresh air and fight global warming! Bamboo apparel products offer the following unique benefits and qualities:Silky SoftIt feels like cashmere or silk, it is extremely soft. BreathableBamboo apparel is comfortable, more breathable than cotton, fast drying, moisture-wicking, and thermal regulating. It will keep you cooler in the summer, and you can layer it to be warmer in the winter. Anti-BacterialBamboo fiber contains a natural agent, that prevents the growth of bacteria, thus prevents odor. Organically GrownBamboo is one of the world’s most prolific and fastest growing plants. It is inherently organic and is grown without pesticides or chemicals, and is 100% biodegradable. Easy CareNo dry cleaning necessary. Launder in cool water on Gentle Cycle and tumble dry low. Stain removers may be used for stubborn stains. The use of bleach or liquid fabric softener is not recommended. Dryer sheets may be used. Remove from dryer promptly or line dry. A quantitative antibacterial capability test was performed by the China Industrial Testing Center (CTITC) from July 7th 2003 thru July 11, 2003. One hundred percent Bamboo Fabric was tested over a 24-hour incubation period with bacterial strain type Staphylococcus aureous. After the 24-hour period the numbers of live bacteria were counted in each sample. The results showed that 100% bamboo fabric exhibits 99.8% antibacterial kill rate. Antimicrobial and Antibacterial Textile Benefits:Fifty individuals suffering from the fungal infection tinea pedis commonly called athlete’s foot were given antimicrobial, antibacterial socks. All fifty test subjects reported the disappearance of the burning and itching that accompanies athlete’s foot within 1-2 days of wearing the socks. Within 2-6 days the blistering and sores characteristic of athlete’s foot disappeared and the skin returned to normal. None of the fifty individuals reported any adverse effects after using the socks. 100% bamboo fiber fabric is characterized by its soft, silky feel. Silky-soft socks made from natural bamboo fiber are cool, breathable and luxurious and one of the newer environmentally friendly products to offer benefits to consumers and indigenous cultures alike. Highly absorptive and breathable, 100% Viscose from Bamboo fabrics contain natural anti-bacterial agents that make them an excellent choice for any product that comes in direct contact with human skin.
Over 70% of bacteria incubated on bamboo fiber fabric in laboratory tests were not able to survive. Unlike chemical anti-microbial processes, you can rest assured that bamboo fiber sheets will keep you safe and healthy without risk of chemical reaction or skin irritation.
Bamboo fiber fabrics made of bamboo pulp fiber, are very easy to straighten and dye and have an excellent ability to absorb pigmentation. 100% Viscose from Bamboo fabrics will wear well and retain their vivid colors even after repeated washings. Friendly to the environment, culturally and economically progressive, bamboo fabrics are an excellent, guilt-free way to pamper yourself with luxury. We look forward to your order!Wholesale pricing available, please call Ying "Cathy" Zhou for more information.(425) 864-6384

The Bamboo plant is a renewable resource, grown widely throughout rural Asia, with unique properties that are retained in the manufacture of bamboo fibers yarns and textiles. Bamboo plants have the ability to absorb up to three times their weight in water, and 100% Viscose from Bamboo fabrics provide the same superior “wicking” qualities, drawing sweat and moisture away from your skin to keep you cool and comfortable while you sleep.
